Kent D. McPhail

Kent McPhail attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he graduated in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. While attending the University of Southern Mississippi he was inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honorary) was noted as one of the outstanding Young Men of America, and was listed in Whos Who Among Students in America’s Universities and Colleges. After attending the University of Southern Mississippi, he attended the University of Mississippi School of Law where he graduated with a Juris Doctrate in 1988. After graduating, he accepted a position in the legal department of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi.

After a two year stint with Blue Cross and Blue Shield he practiced with a private creditor law firm for three years. 1993, Kent left that firm and became one of the founding partners of the law firm of Dumas & McPhail, L.L.C. He became licensed under the Mississippi Bar in 1988, the Florida Bar in 1990, and the Alabama bar in 1991. He is admitted to practice in Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the US District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, the US District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, the US District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, and the US District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. In addition, he is admitted to all State Courts in the states of Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. His practice is limited to the representation of creditors. He is a member of the Alabama, Mississippi and Florida Bar Associations and the Commercial Law League of America.
