Jeanna D. Chappell


Jeanna D. Chappell attended the University of South Alabama, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While attending the University of South Alabama, Ms. Chappell was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key Honor Society; she was elected to represent her college in the Student Government association and was awarded the Pre-Law Society Scholarship. Additionally Ms. Chappell was named Outstanding Scholar in Political Science, and was listed on the President’s List and in Whos Who Among American College Students.

After completion of her studies at the University of South Alabama, Ms. Chappell attended the University of Alabama School of Law where she graduated with a Juris Doctor in May 2000. While in Law School, Ms. Chappell was inducted into the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, and received the Best Brief Award for Outstanding Written Advocacy. She was elected as an Honor Court Associate Justice and also served as Senior Editor for the Journal of the Legal Profession.

Ms. Chappell was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2000 and the Mississippi State Bar in 2002. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, the Fifth Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. In addition, she is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Alabama and Mississippi.
